Wings for Joy orchestrates 8-10 campaigns each year to provide programs and services to women and children in need of guidance and support.  Wings provides free programs and materials to recipients in Maryland and Washington D.C.

Wings' programs and campaigns are designed to reach women and children in underserved communities.  We work with local shelters to provide assistance to families to aid in their empowerment and progression to lives of independence.  Our efforts routinely assist the Helping Hands and Stepping Stones shelters in Montgomery County, the Family Crisis Center in Prince George's County, the Montgomery County Public Schools Linkages to Learning Program and the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Since its inception in 2001, Wings has helped families through donations of time, talents, and resources.  Specifically, Wings' successes have:

-Delivered more than 4100 backpacks filled with school supplies to help children return to school prepared and eager for the year.

-Helped Santa deliver more than 3700 gifts of clothing, toys, linen, and household items.

-Pampered more than 900 world weary women with gifts and personal care items.

-Facilitated workshops on finances and legal issues.

-Conducted health and fitness fairs.

-Outfitted women preparing them for the workforce.

-Orchestrated annual holiday and winter food drives.
